Amplify SW began as a small independent business in Newquay, founded to help young people discover the world of electronic music. What started with a few decks and a lot of passion has grown into a thriving network of creative spaces, workshops, and community projects across Cornwall and the South West.
We’re now proud to be part CIC (Community Interest Company), supported by the National Lottery Community Fund, running the Amplify DJ School at Whiskers in Newquay. We also work with youth clubs, alternative provisions, and venues like The Basement in Helston, helping young people learn new skills, build confidence, and perform in safe, supportive environments.
Our work extends beyond youth — we run lessons and events for all ages, host stages at local festivals like Rock Oyster and Golowan, and continue to create spaces where music brings people together.
